ROCKCLIFFE CE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Harvest Festival 2017

We would like to say a huge thank you to all parents, family, friends and members of the local community who joined us to celebrate our Harvest Festival 2017.  We were so lucky to have so many people involved and it was fabulous to see a full Rockcliffe Centre, filled with smiling faces.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to Mr Ed. Taylor for spending so much time and commitment in preparing the children for the celebration: teaching them the song words, adding extra rehearsals and enabling the children to sing at their best.  They were fantastic!

We were joined by Revd. Van de Berg who reminded us how lucky we really are: to have enough food to eat, water to drink and the supplies which we need to stay healthy.  He recognised the generosity of our parents who kindly made fabulous donations to the Church Harvest Supper (Sunday 2nd September 2017) These items are due to be auctioned and monies will be donated to a community in Africa where our sponsored child (Immaculate) lives.  The Vicar shared some of the impact which monies from previous years have had on Immaculate and those living in her community.  We are proud to be supporting others and the children recognise where the money is needed and how it is being spent.  It is amazing to see how those donations have benefitted Immaculate's quality of life and the lives of others in her community.

Four children from Class 5 shared their own 'Thank You' Prayers.
They shared some thoughtful words with us all and gave us time to reflect.
