Science - Dark Box Investigation
We have been learning about Light and Dark in Science this half term. To help children understand that darkness is the absence of light and to reinforce that we need light to see, children worked in small groups to design and make their own dark boxes using scissors, glue, black paint and cardboard boxes. Once complete, children used different materials (opaque, tranlucent and transparent) to alter the amount of light entering the dark box to reveal the mystery object hidden inside.
