Violent Volcanoes!

As part of our Geography study on Natural Disasters we were desperate to use paper-mache to make our very own violent volcanoes! We had lots of fun getting very messy building our structures before adding paint to make them look like authentic volcanoes. The best bit was definately taking them outside to errupt! We used a mixture of baking powder, food colouring, hand soap and vinegar to achieve this. We even noticed how our volcanoes all erupted differently just like real life volcanoes do. Everybody agreed that this was definately one of the highlights of our Geography work so far, although we weren't very keen on the strong smell of vinegar that was left in our classroom for the rest of the week!
