For the past six weeks, seven pupils from year 6 were lucky enough to be able to attend after school sessions in English at Trinity School with Mrs Thomas and Mr Hopkins. The sessions focused on developing their skills in inference and deduction, reading between the lines, in texts. The children were expected to work at quite a high level and were pushed to develop their ideas.
During the final session they worked collaboratively with children from other schools to develop some ideas they could pass on to other children back at school. The chidlren were very keen to share their learning, so this week they worked in two groups to plan and deliver activities to the rest of the class.
We were very impressed at the amount of effort they put into their preparation and the way in whcih they developed the sesssions. I thin we have some budding teachers in Year 6. Well done everyone.
