Admissions and School Transport
Rockcliffe CE School follows Cumbria County Councils Admissions Code. Admission to Reception is handled by the Schools Admissions Team whilst admissions to other Year Groups is through application to either the school or to the School Places Team.
Please contact the school if you are considering sending your child to Rockcliffe CE School. We are more than happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have. If your children are a little older then we encourage prospective parents to either bring their child along, or bring them on another occasion, so that they can look around and ask questios too! Choosing a school is an important decision and we want both parent and child to be happy.
Our current published admission number is 15 but this is officially set to rise to 20 later in 2016.
Children living in Todhills, Harker Road Ends, Crindledyke, Cargo and the outlying farms and cottages are usually able to claim free school transport to and from school on road safety grounds. Two buses serve these routes picking up children from approximately 8.15am and dropping them back at home from 3.30pm.
Currently around 65% of the pupils in school are eligable for free transport. Further details can be found on the Cumbria County Council website or by calling 01228 606060.
