Designing Clay Pots

To complete our exploration of the Stone Age, children were asked to design a small clay pot depicting life in Stone Age Britain.  Using a planning template, children designed their clay pot, listing the materials and equipment they would need and sharing and explaining their ideas with peers.   Children then brought their designs to life, moulding and scultping their clay into shape and decorating using a range of objects and artists tools.  The pots were fired in our kilns and then proudly displayed in our classroom.
