School Tour
We'd love to show you around our school.
It's difficult at the moment to invite visitors into school but you are always welcome to tour the school virtually.
We'll start at the Main Entrance and School Office where Mrs. Delaney, the administrator, welcome parents and adults alike.
This leads into the entrance hall where we display our attendance trees and safeguarding information.
Let's start the classroom tour with our youngest children. Our EYFS Classroom is always a hive of colour and activity. We have a wet area and an outside space too. This is covered so we can work outside in all weathers and we can play safely on the play equipment that is right outside our entrance.
Into Year One we go. We still have space to spread out when we use the outside area adjacent to the classroom.
Year Two. You'll ntoice that thae classroom layout is becoming more formal. As we walk through the school you'll notice that we expect the children to slowly adopt a more formal approach to their learning. This doesn't mean it's boring though!
Year Three. This is our newest and biggest classroom that is suitable for teaching children with a range of additional needs. It hasn't been open long and still feels very new indeed.
Year Four. We're currently working on plans to change the layout and shape of this room. We hope to create a shared activity space to the rear of the existing space for cooking or messy art activities, improve the access to the entrance hall and make the classroom wider too.
Year Five and Six. This class can be found in the extension which was added in 2015. The classroom is light and bright with great access to the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
You can find the school library outside Year One. This is part of our Route to Reading. We've just refreshed this with £4000 of new reference materials.
Here you can see what each class is reading as a Read-Aloud text. We always ensure that all children have the opportunity to listen to a wide range of books and novels, both newer works and some traditional or classical works. We try to embed a love of books for all.
The School hall can be found in the centre of our building. It links the whole school together and it's where we share our meals and our worship. We also use this for gymnastics and dance throughout the year and for PE, music and drama when required.
We hope that enjoyed the tour. As you leave, take a moment to read and reflect on our school prayer. We think that it reflects what we try to achieve, each and every day.
Thanks for visiting.
